WHAT WAS MAKING ROOM?
The Making Room Initiative was a church-wide effort to prepare our campus for the next season of ministry at Jacob’s Well. As our church family continued to grow, we took intentional steps to create more space—physically and spiritually—for people to encounter Jesus.
Through faithful prayer, participation, and giving from our church family, the first phase of Making Room was successfully completed in 2025. These improvements are already helping us welcome more people each weekend and better serve our community.

THE IMPACT
The Making Room Initiative helped prepare the Jacob’s Well campus for the next season of ministry. Through these improvements, we’ve reduced congestion, improved campus access, and created more space for people to gather, worship, and grow in faith.
- New South Parking Lot & Driveway – Reduced congestion before and after weekend services and improved traffic flow.
- Rear Access Road – Added a dedicated south-side access route that allows better campus circulation independent of Venture Academy traffic on the north side.
- Expanded Staff Parking – Increased parking capacity in the rear church lot to better support staff and ministry operations.
- Launch of Saturday Services – Created additional worship opportunities and expanded weekend capacity for our growing church family.
Together, these improvements are already helping more people gather at Jacob’s Well each week. Most importantly, Making Room created space for people to come and meet Jesus—so their whole life can change.
TIMELINe
Making Room launched in October 2024 as a response to the continued growth of Jacob’s Well. Over the following year, our church family saw God provide in remarkable ways as the campus improvements moved from vision to reality.
June 2025
Work began as crews staked project boundaries and delivered culverts. Early rains caused a few delays, but earthwork soon began near the new driveway entrance along 122nd Street, preparing the site for culvert installation and grading.
July 2025
Excavation continued around the south end of the building as crews prepared the area for the new parking lot, south driveway, and rear access road. Drainage systems, electrical conduits, and lighting infrastructure were installed throughout the site.
August 2025
Base course materials were placed across the project area, forming the structural foundation for asphalt paving. With utilities and drainage installed, the site was prepared for the final paving phase.
September 2025
The new south parking lot, driveway, and rear access road opened, marking the successful completion of Phase 1. The additional parking and improved traffic flow immediately began reducing congestion during weekend services. View Map
October 2025
Final striping and landscaping were completed across the project area. The fully finished south parking lot has since helped improve the weekend experience for worshippers and visitors alike.
